As such, construction should be modular, simple, and fast planning for reproduction and adjustment in flight. This is exactly where industrial computers shine.
Many automakers use versatile industrial computers equipped with RFID scanners to track the vehicle’s position in the manufacturing process. These systems can read these RFID tags of each model, compare them to a central database, and retrieve the correct components from inventory each time. It makes fewer mistakes, takes less downtime to fix those errors, and one less thing to worry about when inspecting.
Increasing accuracy means wasting less time troubleshooting and spending more time turning vehicles perfectly off the assembly line.
And considering how additive production (or industrial 3D printing) has revolutionized the toolmaking process for automation. Several industrial 3D printers in a car factory can produce all the parts needed for assembly line settings at any time.

Improve factory working conditions and safety

Factories (of any kind) do not have a very good reputation in general for safety and cleanliness. Of course, modern technology such as robots, HMI panels, additives production, computer-controlled environments and other improvements in quality of life have made factories much safer and more enjoyable work environments.
According to OSHA, worker mortality has dropped by almost 63 percent, from 38 deaths a day in the 1970s to 14 deaths a day in 2017.
One of the ways industrial computers have contributed to the safety of automobile manufacturing is through the HMI panel or the human / machine interface panel. HMI is essentially a central control computer that allows workers to fully monitor, adjust, and even control the robotic and mechanical components that put cars together.
However, the main safety advantage of the HMI panel is that it keeps the worker away from the most dangerous areas of the production process, namely the rotating arms and the welders, while giving them precise control of the machines.
The proliferation of interconnected sensors also means that catastrophic errors in the most damaging production line can actually be predicted by HMI panels and stopped before they occur.
Increase Productivity
PCs with industrial panels and interconnected sensors have paved the way for Industry 4.0, or the “Fourth Industrial Revolution,” as it is often called.
A fully integrated smart factory works great for car production – because cars are so complex and made from so many different materials and moving parts, the ability to constantly monitor every detail is very useful.
Industrial IoT devices further strengthen this connection and greatly expand productivity and efficiency with industrial computers and panels that act as brains.
The car assembly line of the future – now – is associated with less damage, less breakdowns, machine learning to predict slowness and errors, more modularity, faster processing speeds, more integrated inventory systems, and generally faster computers.
Productivity gains are even greater than one of those factors. Productivity gains from all of them combined? It can be difficult to understand.

Features of an industrial computer

Conditions on the floor of a car factory are not for the faint of heart – temperatures vary widely, cars and parts move violently around, and air is often suffocated by dust, dirt, metal shavings and other sand.
In addition to these very harmful conditions, an automatic assembly line works for a long time. Some of them even work around the clock. This means that versatile industrial computers must be sturdy enough to withstand harsh environments and long hours.
This is why industrial computers, especially those designed for automobile manufacturing, are built with sturdy components that can withstand extreme impact and temperature.
These components also allow the computer to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with very low shutdown times, which is a great advantage, especially for car manufacturers looking to turn off the lights now or in the future.

["post-13210","avada_portfolio","type-avada_portfolio","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
